# Terms of Service

Last updated August 17, 2026

These terms govern your use of ApiTraffic. Creating an account means agreeing to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind that company.

## The service

ApiTraffic records, indexes and displays the API traffic your services report through our SDKs, and provides the analysis, alerting and firewall features described on this site. Features change; we will not remove one you are paying for without notice.

## Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the credentials and API tokens issued to it. Keep them secret; rotate them if they leak. Account administrators can require multi-factor authentication for everyone on the account, and we recommend it.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and not barred from using the service under applicable law.

## Your data stays yours

The telemetry you send remains yours. We store and process it to provide the service, and for nothing else - we do not sell it and we do not use one customer's data to build something for another. What we collect and how long we keep it is in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy).

You are responsible for what you send us. Redaction and exclusion rules run inside your process, before transmission, precisely so you can decide what never leaves your network.

## Acceptable use

- Do not use the service to break the law or to attack anyone.
- Do not send us data you have no right to send, including personal data you have not lawfully collected.

- Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, probe other tenants' data, or resell the service without a written agreement.

We may suspend an account that is causing harm or risk to the platform. Where we can, we will contact you first; where we cannot, we will explain immediately afterwards.

## Text messages

If you enroll a mobile number as an authentication factor, you agree to receive one-time verification codes at that number. Message frequency depends on how often you sign in. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time.

The full description of the program - what we send, how often, and how consent is collected - is on the [messaging terms](/legal/messaging) page.

## Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose. Usage beyond a plan's included volume is billed as described on the [pricing page](/pricing), and you can set a hard cap so it cannot run away from you.

Cancel at any time; the service runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it.

## Availability and support

We aim for continuous availability and publish incidents on our status page. Support is by email at [support@apitraffic.io](mailto:support@apitraffic.io). Accounts with a written service level agreement have the terms of that agreement instead of this paragraph - email [sales@apitraffic.io](mailto:sales@apitraffic.io) to arrange one.

## Warranties and liability

The service is provided as described on this site and in our documentation, and otherwise without warranty. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

## Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time. We may end the agreement on notice, or immediately for a material breach that is not fixed after we have asked. On termination your telemetry is deleted; export anything you want to keep first.

## Changes to these terms

We will tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the new terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
